The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) has long been recognised as a major driver in the
development of local government capacity in asset management, through policy formulation, strategic
planning, project implementation and the nationally recognised "Step" asset management program.
Following outstanding successes in 2008 and 2009, the MAV is again proud to partner with influential
bodies in local government engineering, the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA)
and Engineers Australia (EA), to host the 2009 National Local Government Asset Management &
Public Works Engineering Conference.
The 2010 conference will demonstrate environmentally sustainable engineering and asset strategies
that integrate community needs and public services in a world confronting climate change.
